Each piece invites viewers to engage with their inner selves, reflecting the profound relationship between humanity and the unseen realm through vibrant colors and expressive forms. My initial reception of each piece usually arrives in me during the night in a semi conscious state and later transfared onto a stretched canvas, exploring the human spirit, soul and body through vibrant expressions of imagery and colors.

Human Connection
My artwork delves into the essence of human experience, portraying emotions and relationships that transcend the physical realm, inviting contemplation and deeper understanding of our shared existence with the celestial realm. With the aim of having the viewer to interrogate their own existance in relation to the unseen realm that shapes every fibre of the physical.
The focus of my work is on human beings and the relationship that exists between the celestial and terrestrial body. There is a relationship between the seen and the unseen realms the same way that an artwork exists in the unseen imagination of the artist before manifesting on a physical canvas. The enlightenment that occurs in the unseen internal parts of men through which the terrestrial communicate and from which life is expressed, are the main focus of my subject matter though not limited to it. These are not studies of formal qualities of human anatomy but rather the figures, abstraction and colors are a language themselves and express the intention of each piece to interrogate the soul within the viewer. These rather explore the whole of the inward, human experience and the complexities thereof. My interest is people and not just the outward men or flesh, but rather the inner hidden person. There lies the beauty, study and complexity of my subject matter..
From South Africa to Hungary
My pseudoname is Aepi! I grew up in South Africa and now live and work in Hungary. I have been an artist ever since I was five years old. My medium of choice is mainly acrylic, mixed media and charcoal on canvas though i have experimented with linocut printmaking, etching and ceramics, which i love. I prefer to draw and paint as this emanates my expression the best.

Exhibitions(Past)
My first group exhibition was in 2008 in Mthatha after a tree day residency for linocut print making. My
second followed shortly after that same year at an art festival which was held at the Port St
Johns art gallery in the Eastern Cape.
In 2009 I had another group exhibition FOCUS contemporary art gallery in Cape town.
In 2010 during my first year at Stellenbosch university I had a group exhibition opening at the
national art gallery in cape town which organized by the TOKARA wine estate in Stellenbosch.
In 2011 to 2012 I studied my second and third year at Michaelis school of fine art in Cape Town.
In 2013 I had another group exhibition in Heidelburg, Western Cape.
My last group exhibition was in 2017 at the Boomhuise art gallery in
Stellenbosch.
